Apple MacOS 11.0 Big Sur Release- Do Not Update

Release Date: Thursday, November 12, 2020

DO NOT UPDATE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

There are identified compatibility issues with specific Tulane applications.

Tulane Mac users, please do not update to Big Sur macOS 11.0 at this time due to identified compatibility issues, which include Trend Micro Apex One (antivirus software) and SecureDoc (encryption software) applications.

Our team continues to test Tulane applications with the new macOS, and we will notify you once we have mitigated these issues and it is safe to upgrade.

Please note that AppsAnywhere has released an updated that meets Big Sur compatibility requirements.

To ensure your device doesn't automatically upgrade, please turn off the auto-updates feature on your Mac device.

  1. Go to the Apple icon in the desktop menu bar > System Preferences > Software Update.
  2. Uncheck the box next to “Automatically keep my Mac up to date.”
  3. Users will be prompted to confirm the selection clicking “Turn Off Automated Updates” in the pop up window.
