Video Conferencing Facilities

Tulane University offers a variety of video conferencing services and facilities for members of the Tulane community. Video conferencing is available in the locations listed below with contact information for each of the site coordinators.

Please note: This comprehensive list was compiled by IT as a courtesy. Be aware that each facility has its own procedures, restrictions and fee policy.

The Bernstein Conference Room, Gibson Hall, Room 200

This facility is available by reservation only. There are no fees for the service at this time. Technology support can be provided upon request but is not guaranteed.

School of Professional Advancement

Usage is intended primarily for SoPA and its satellite campuses. Requests by others groups may be considered based upon availability. Fees may apply.

Law School, Weinmann Hall, Rooms 251 and 257

Usage is primarily for the Law School community, but requests for use by other groups at Tulane may be considered upon availability. Fees may be assessed based on the nature of the request.

Business School, Goldring-Woldenberg Hall II, 3rd Floor

A.B. Freeman has several rooms equipped with video conferencing equipment that can use Zoom. Additionally, there are two rooms and a rolling cart equipped with Crestron RL units for use with Skype for Business and Microsoft Surface Hubs, also on wheels, at each of their campuses (Uptown, CBD, and Houston).  The Surface Hubs also employ Skype for Business.

Tulane National Primate Research Center

Both H.323 video conferencing and web conferencing services are currently available to Primate Center staff and affiliates. There are no fees for staff use.

School of Science and Engineering

The Center for Computational Science has three rooms with video conferencing equipment in Stanley Thomas Hall: Rooms 101, 316, and 407.

The Boggs Center for Energy and Biotechnology has one room with H.323 video conferencing equipment in Room 600. There are no fees at this time.

School of Public Health, 1440 Canal Street, Suite 1223

The SPHTM operates video conferencing solely through Zoom software. For any questions regarding Zoom video conferencing at the SPHTM please contact GRIT.

Health Sciences Campus

IT operates a video conferencing system in the School of Medicine room 6001 for faculty use in teaching and small group conferencing. This facility is available for scheduled, regular courses and for Medical School affiliated users. There are no fees at this time.
