Telecommunication Services provides integrated communication services, including phone, directory and support services to Tulane’s main campus and several satellite campuses.

The below information pertains to the legacy phone system which is still in place for several users.
To contact the Telecommunications office, dial 504-865-5206 (extension 5-5206) or visit us on the Uptown campus in Building 41 between Sharp and Monroe Halls.

- Setup and management
- Name change requests: Change the name that appears on your desk phone and outbound calls.
- Call forwarding set up and management: Receive and place calls from your Tulane phone number to your mobile phone using Clearspan Anywhere.
- Conference calling
- Long distance code application
- Virtual Fax: Set up and send a virtual fax (or e-fax) using your email address.
- Voicemail
- AT&T leased line applications
- Auto-attendant: Set up an automatic phone attendant for your department.
- Softphone: Place calls from your Tulane phone number on your mobile and/or desktop devices using a software-based phone application instead of dedicated hardware like a desk phone.
- Conference calling devices: Request to install a Polycomm SoundStation IP 6000 device for your conference space.
- Desk phones: Request to order and set up an Aastra desk phone for your Tulane assigned phone number.
- Wireless headsets: Request a CS540 wireless headset for your Tulane desktop phone or softphone.
