Wifi TVs and Gaming Devices
In order to use gaming devices, smart tvs, and streaming players students must register their devices. To manually register a device go to: https://tuwac.tcs.tulane.edu or call the Service Desk at, 504-988-8888.
The physical address or MAC address is a number that is a string if 12 numbers/letters grouped into pairs separated by colons or hyphens: 00:A0:D5:1F:2E:32
Apple TV
- Go to the main menu on your Apple TV, and select Settings
- In the Settings Menu, select About
- The MAC Address is listed as either the Wireless ID
- ALSO, the wireless network MAC addresses can be found on the UPC label on the Apple TV box as Wireless ID (This is also the same label that contains the serial number.)
Amazon Fire TV
- From the Home screen, press Menu
- Select Settings
- Look for the Device Info section
- The Wi-Fi MAC Address is located toward the bottom of the screen in the format 00:00:00:00:00:00.
Roku
On the back of your player, there might be two sets of 12 letters and numbers.
One set is for Ethernet (wired) and one set is for Ethernet (wireless). Or, From the Roku home screen:
- Connect and turn on the Roku
- Use the remote to arrow down to Settings
- Arrow right to select Network
- Arrow right to select About
- Write down the Wireless MAC Address
- Press the Home button on the remote to return
Nintendo Switch
- From the HOME menu, highlight and select the System Settings Icon
- Select Internet Settings
- Tap Other Information
- Tap Confirm MAC Address
- Your system's MAC Address will be displayed on the screen
Playstation 4:
- Start up your PlayStation 4 without a disk in the drive
- Find the System Settings icon and select the X
- Click System Information and press the X
- Your Mac Address (Wi-Fi) will display
Xbox One
- On Xbox Home, navigate to the left until you reach Pins
- Select Settings
- Select Network
- Select Advanced Settings
- Write down your Wireless MAC address
