Innovative Learning Center (ILC)
The Innovative Learning Center (ILC) partners with faculty and staff on instructional and academic research strategies and acts as a liaison between Information Technology (IT) and faculty. The ILC is a space for faculty and instructional teams to explore what is possible in academic technology now and prepare them for future trends in higher education and beyond. Consultations
We partner with faculty and staff navigating Tulane's academic technology environment through one-on-one and group consultations for course development and optimization, technology integration, course design to increase student engagement, academic strategy planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. We also liaise with broader IT teams to strengthen digital instruction and inform academic research strategies across campus using best practices.

Drop-In Office Hours
Our doors are open to your instructional technology questions. Drop by for assistance or visit virtually during semesterly Teach Anywhere Office Hours (TAOH) to consult and ideate on your academic technology and operational workflow initiatives. Receive just-in-time feedback on anything from Canvas LMS questions to academic technology and pedagogical principles. Office hours are jointly hosted by the ILC and CELT.

IDEA Lab
Instructional technology supports teaching and learning through the intersection of technology and pedagogy, digital exploration, and classroom design. The ILC is accessible to the teaching and learning community to gather insights, ideas, and experiences in person, online, and through spaces like the IDEA Lab.
IDEA Lab
Our IDEA Lab niche gives faculty access to innovative tools and hands-on support with cutting-edge technology for ideating, 3D printers and scanners suitable for modeling/rendering, VR exploration, a large-format printer, drawing tablets, and Scantron grading. The lab includes access to high-performance Alienware computing with Adobe Creative Cloud, ArcGIS Pro, MakerBot, EngageVR, and Respondus 4.0 for creating Canvas assessments from documents.

Meeting Spaces
The ILC and CELT are co-located in a faculty-focused shared space equipped with two conference rooms, two breakout rooms, and a multimedia classroom. Reservation requests are available for meetings, workshops, and small gatherings primarily designated for faculty, staff, and related university programming. All requests are subject to an approval process and room availability considerations. Stop by to check out the space! Howard-Tilton Memorial Library, Suite 300.

Classroom Experience
The Classroom Experience Assistant (CEA) program is a team of Tulane students trained in instructional technologies, ranging from classroom media equipment, such as cameras and microphones, to apps such as Zoom. CEAs provide on-demand and scheduled support for faculty with classroom issues and other projects, as requested.

Value in Virtual Access
The ILC sponsors Tulane's Value in Virtual Access (VIVA) student-led organization. The university invests heavily in providing students with access to cutting-edge software, cloud services, and innovative digital tools included in tuition. VIVA seeks to raise awareness and bridge the knowledge and access gap between students and enterprise-supported apps, tools, techniques, and digital perks. Participation in VIVA is open to all Tulane students.

Academic Tech Liaisons
The Academic Tech Liaisons (ATL) peer-led group, facilitated by the ILC, is a collective community for folks closely aligned with supporting and contributing to academic technology-related work across the university. The ATL space is designed to foster communication and collaboration in a casual format (with a guided agenda). Participants can join the monthly meet-up via Zoom, in-person (HTML 300), or both. Meetings are held in September, October, November, February, March, and April on the second Wednesday of each month from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
