Tulane’s Office of Human Resources' Talent Development team and the Innovative Learning Center are partnering again this year to host Professional Development Week (PDW) from September 21-25, 2026! PDW will offer a mix of virtual and in-person sessions on both the Uptown and Downtown campuses to support the growth and success of faculty and staff.
Across five days, sessions will explore five core themes:
- AI in everyday work — using AI tools responsibly in daily tasks, teaching, and research
- Respectful conversations — civil dialogue, navigating disagreement, and supporting a positive campus climate
- Navigating change — leading and working through ongoing changes at Tulane
- Wellbeing at work — avoiding burnout, setting boundaries, and supporting mental health and sustainable workloads
- Leading people — practical coaching, communication, and priority-management skills for managers and informal leaders
