What Copilot Can (and Can't) Do at Tulane

Copilot can be helpful, but only if we stop pretending we have the deluxe showroom model. Tulane’s current access supports the generic Copilot chatbot, Outlook writing assistance, memory features, and personalization. That is enough to make it useful for faculty work if you know where to click and what to ask.
In this hands-on session, participants will access Copilot, test it on common faculty tasks, use it to draft and revise Outlook messages, explore what the memory feature can and cannot do, and create a personalization prompt that gives Copilot context about their role, tone, teaching style, recurring tasks, and boundaries. The goal is practical: leave with a Copilot setup that feels less like a generic chatbot and more like a tolerable office assistant who has read the room.
